Miami won all four meetings with Orlando this season, marking the first time it has swept its intrastate rival.
"I would like to keep this streak going," Jones said. "We will not stop working defensively - that will result in more wins."
The Heat closed the second quarter on a 16-5 run behind eight points from rookie Dwyane Wade that snapped a tie and gave them a 56-45 halftime lead, their largest to that point.
"We've come a long way from our 0-7 start," Wade said. "We're having fun not only in the games, but in practice. This is the time for winning right now. I don't think about a rookie wall. We're trying to make the push to get the highest seed we can in the playoffs."
Miami (34-37) stands at sixth place in the Easten Conference, just one game behind the fifth-place Milwaukee Bucks and 1 1/2 games ahead of the New York Knicks. This is the closest it has been to .500 since Oct. 31.
Jones caught fire in the third period, making 7-of-10 shots as the lead grew as large as 23 points. Orlando got no closer than 12 points thereafter.
NBA leading scorer Tracy McGrady of Orlando scored 18 points, 10 below his average. The All-Star guard missed the last two games due to the death of his great-grandmother.
"Guys were just driving down the lane, getting shots," McGrady said. "Guys go to play with pride. It's frustrating to work hard for your shot and then have them turn around and get easy baskets."
"Eddie did a great job on McGrady," Miami coach Stan Van Gundy said. "We knew that if we could defend and rebound, then we could run. This is a team you can run on."
The Heat dominated inside, outscoring the Magic, 54-16, in the paint. They also had 31 points in transition to Orlando's eight.
Wade scored 24 points and Lamar Odom collected 20 and 13 rebounds for the Heat, who have scored at least 100 points in three straight contests and four of their last five.
"Offensively, we play together," Odom said. "We have the ball moving very well. We play with relentless intensity, it's just clicking right now."
Drew Gooden scored 23 points to lead the Magic who have been swept in the season series by 11 opponents this season.
